Since October 2012, We were started to write reviews on documentaries we watch on various media and started collection, update and promotion of this site. Previously we were in another domain, which has expired due to nonpayment in time. Along with the domain, we have lost our hosting account at the same time which has made us nowhere in the world.

By the grace of almighty and vibrant visitors like you has made this site possible, HQ Documentary Films (HQDFILMS) has been curating  awesome documentaries and it’s been a host to a vibrant community of people who’re making this place even more interesting and knowledgeable.

Obviously the content here is created with a passion for documentary films and the site is a valuable resource for those with an interest in that particular genre. Sharing knowledge, educate our society and making it easy for people who love to watch such films is the main goal of this site. It also tries to help the independent documentary filmmakers to promote their films.

HQDFILMS started as a simple one-man blog and to some extent it still is. However, at this point there are few moderators taking care of the community comment section and a few ghostwriter writing the synopses for the documentaries.

In a relatively long period of time the site became very powerful alternative educational resource and a very busy place – thanks to the visitors (0.5 million people every month) who obviously like it.

As of now there were more than 1600 documentaries published on our other domain unfortunately we have only few hundreds of them remain at HQDFILMS (most of them are full length docs), organized in 26 different categories, searchable by keywords, sort-able by rating, comments, and titles and most importantly open for discussion.

We provide fresh new documentary every other day and most of the time we publish independent films, which in fact are the most shared, educational, highest rated and most commented videos on the site.

The site updates are also accessible through our social channels: RSS Feed, Email (use the subscription form in the sidebar and footer section), FacebookTwitter, and Google Plus.

If you would like more information about HQDFILMS, want to suggest something better than what we are doing, suggest newly published documentaries elsewhere, you have something to say or ask please contact us here.

I hope you enjoy HQDocumentary.com
